Dalby Forest Cycle Hub
Rejoice, mountain bikers! Dalby forest has off-road trails for riders of all experience levels. The friendly and helpful staff at the cycle hub (located next to the visitor’s centre) have everything you need from hire bikes to any accessory you could possibly want. There is a cycle skills area for youngsters and novices, making Dalby Forest a great place to build your off-road confidence!
Go Ape

Escape to the world of Julia Donaldson
Can you spot the Gruffalo? Or Zog the dragon? These walking trails are great adventures for your little ones – and a fun introduction to orienteering! You can even upgrade to the Gruffalo party pack to celebrate 25 years of this timeless children’s classic!

Get lost in the magic of the forest! Dalby offers so much to see and do, but sometimes you just want to keep it simple. Grab a map and enjoy a moment of quiet. There are plenty of picnic spots but if you forget your packed lunch, there’s a lovely cafe too.
Stargazing
In December 2020, the North York Moors National Park was officially declared an international dark sky reserve (one of only 21 in the world), making it one of the best places around to see the stars. The dark skies festival takes place from February 9th-20th and there’s a good chance you’ll catch a glimpse of the northern lights, so there’s never been a better time to go!
