Scarborough has a large selection of coffee shops, each with unique character and things to offer. Here are some of our favourite spots (in no particular order!)
Koda
Celebrating its 5th year in Scarborough, Koda has cemented itself as a firm favourite for its very
high quality coffee and fully vegan menu. Koda offers seasonal menus, so the choices are
always fresh and new. Cool, trendy (and the new PBJ iced coffee is delicious).
Sha-ka
If you’re looking to fuel up after a surf on one of our beaches, look no further than this Hawaiian
themed cafe. Go for a delicious cup of coffee and stay for the poke bowls and tasty sweet
treats!
Sitwell by Eat Me
The winner of ‘most beautiful setting’, Sitwell by Eat Me can be found in the Woodend creative
space in the Crescent. Soak up some art in the gallery next door and sip a coffee from barista
and local artist Imo Sophia. Imo has started ‘Woodend Wednesdays’ to encourage freelancers
to use the cafe as a shared workspace – just quote the secret code, “I’m here for a good time”
and enjoy 10% off*!

Nabs at Northway
Great coffee, refreshing juices and smoothies – perfect for warmer weather. Nabs is also a
perfect spot to take a laptop or a book. Stop off after a visit to the gym or a run and enjoy one of
their protein packed biscoff shakes!
Greensmith and Thackerwray
Stylish decor and a warm, welcoming atmosphere just about sums up Greensmiths on St
Nicholas Street. The coffees and hot chocolates are an excellent standard and the Moroccan
chicken stew is just the thing for English summer days with grey skies!
Seatrand
A favourite among the sea swimmers in Scarborough, Seastrand is a little hidden gem – they are
only open on Saturdays and Sunday from 8-2, but if you are a true nerd when it comes to coffee
being made right, it is worth making a special visit. The cafe itself used to be a tramway
entrance, this quirk makes Seastrand all the more charming.
