The sun has finally come to Scarborough and we’ve got everything you’ll need for a Yorkshire
seaside holiday to remember. As you can imagine, we’re spoiled for choice when it comes to
ice-cream spots near the beach!
Holy Cow
Holy Cow has a reputation among locals and visitors and it absolutely delivers. This small,
unassuming ice-cream kiosk might not look like much at first glance, but they have a great
selection of homemade ice creams (including a Yorkshire lemon curd flavour that will make you
say, holy cow!)
Holy Cow also offers a variety of other ice-cream based desserts, including waffles and
sundaes. The cherry on the top? They have vegan options too!
Peaches ‘N’ Cream
This lovely ice-cream parlour and cafe is just a stone’s throw from our North Marine
accommodation, and is a firm favourite for North Bay residents. Enjoy extra indulgent American
style ice cream sundaes and milkshakes! Peaches ‘N’ Cream is great for kids (and those who
are kids at heart).
The Harbour Bar
Fancy hopping in a time machine and heading all the way back to 1945? The Harbour Bar has
all the eccentric charm of those 1950s style milk bars that were particularly popular in the 70s…
but our beloved Harbour Bar actually dates back to the 40s! Founded by Tony, Annie and Lucy
Alonzi, it was then handed down to Guilian Alonzi – (who was born above the ice-shop)
It’s a treasure trove of history, lovingly preserved and I haven’t even mentioned ice-cream yet!
If you’re searching for delicious, creamy, soft serve just like the good old days – Look no further
than The Harbour Bar. (The portion sizes are definitely for sharing!)
Francesca’s
Tucked away from busy bustling Foreshore Road, up on Eastborough you’ll find Francesca’s –
this intimate ice-cream parlour and snack bar is perfect for searching for a moment of quiet!
Taking ‘cosy’ to a whole new level, Francesca’s only seats 2 diners! So if you’re looking to share
a sweet treat with your partner – this little gem is just for you!
