Defeat those winter blues with a visit to Scarborough’s Alpamare. This fun-packed water park (and wellness spa) can be found on the North side of town.
A swim in an outdoor pool in December might seem like an odd recommendation, but
Alpamare’s outdoor pools are heated and beautifully warm. There are a few pools to choose
from, as well as 4 adrenaline-inducing water slides (really, not for the faint-hearted). A personal
favourite, making Alpamare particularly special is the infinity pool overlooking North Bay beach.
Alpamare has been a huge hit with locals, both families, and adults alike. This is because there
really is something for everyone. For those who are looking to unwind, Alpamare’s Spa offers a
good selection of beauty and well-being treatments. This Spa claims to be a haven of tranquillity
and rejuvenation – and it doesn’t disappoint.
The park’s admission prices range between £10-£13, booking ahead is recommended though
since we are now ‘off-season’, you’ll likely be able to grab yourself a ticket.
Unlike the waterparks you may remember from your youth, Alpamare offers great quality food, and drinks can be ordered from a poolside bar. Just remember to take your card, as they don’t
accept cash across the site.
