Book a show at the Stephen Joseph Theatre
The SJT showcases a variety of programming for all ages. This month, Kitchen Zoo will bring
their nursery rhyme themed musical cabaret ‘Hey Diddle Diddle’.
The show features live music, puppetry, laughter, and lots of chances to join in. It lasts 45
minutes and every performance is relaxed, making it an ideal introduction to theatre.

Visit Shuttleworth Gardens
These beautiful gardens are the perfect place to peacefully read a book in the sunshine, but a
highlight for children is the fairy garden. There is even a post where you can leave letters for the
fairies! The gardens are situated opposite the clock tower, just a hop, skip and jump away from
our Esplanade apartment.
Take a trip on the North Bay heritage railway
This adorable miniature railway is a great activity all on its own, but being a mode of transport –
it can take you on a journey to an afternoon of further fun. Grab a drink and snack from the
Peasholm Park cafe and hop on the train to the Sea Life centre for an activity filled afternoon!

Feed the animals at Playdale Farm Park
Meet and feed Alpacas, Llamas, Rabbits, Guinea pigs, Chipmunks, Chinchillas and Chickens.
You can even bottle feed little lambs! But, that’s not all – there are also play areas, games and

A stroll around Peasholm Park
Peasholm Park has so much to offer for a lovely day out. A boating lake (with a model battleship
warfare event), brass band concerts, a trail of rare and unusual trees, a Japanese inspired
pagoda and lantern displays. Even locals will discover something new on every visit!
